Comparing Performance Features

No matter if you are looking for a five-person small SUV that is more powerful or more efficient, both the new Trailblazer and Blazer can deliver but in varying ways.

The 2021 Blazer is available with three impressive engines.  The base engine is a 2.0L I4 that puts out an impressive 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.  The second available engine is a 2.5L I4 that produces 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. This engine gets up to 21 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.

The third engine available on the new Blazer is a 6.3L V6. As the most powerful engine in the lineup, you'll get up to 308 horsepower, 269 pound-feet of torque and up to 19 MPG in the city, and 26 MPG on the highway.

The 2021 Trailblazer comes with the choice of two engines.  The first is the standard 1.2L ECOTEC Turbo three-cylinder engine. This engine produces 137 horsepower, 162 pound-feet of torque, and achieves up to 29 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway.

The second available engine on the Trailblazer is a 1.3L ECOTEC Turbo three-cylinder that produces 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.  Fuel efficiency comes in at 28 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.

Comparing Interior Space, Comfort and Features

While both models look relatively similar in size, the 2021 Chevy Blazer is going to provide you with more overall cargo space than the Trailblazer. The Blazer offers up to 64.2 cubic feet of cargo space. There is up to 54.4 cubic feet of cargo space in the Trailblazer.  But, when it comes to vacations, camping trips, and daily errands, you'll find more than enough room to pack in everything you need in both models.

Comparing Exterior Design

You'll take one look at both the 2021 Trailblazer and Blazer and be greeted with sharp and crisp lines that are modern and speak to the vehicles' overall performance features.  Both models come equipped with dual exhaust tips for a sporty finish, along with LED daytime running lamps and LED tail lamps.

A minor difference between these two new Chevy models is the Blazer is outfitted with a hands-free gesture liftgate, and the Trailblazer comes with a standard manual liftgate, but the Trailblazer does exude a more off-road-ready feel in comparison to the city living feel of the Blazer.
